Job summary

Rush County Stone is seeking a self-motivated Aggregate Plant Operator to join our team in a fast-paced, outdoor setting. The role requires performing maintenance, operating heavy equipment, and ensuring safety standards are met in a quarry/mining environment.

The ideal candidate will have 1–3 years in mining or aggregate plant operations, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work overtime or weekends as needed. MSHA knowledge is preferred, and a high school diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• Experience with aggregate plant operations or mining processes preferred.
• Ability to perform mechanical repairs, welding, and routine maintenance.
• Familiarity with operating heavy equipment and front-end loaders.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily preventative maintenance and safety inspections on plant equipment.
• Conduct general plant maintenance and repairs.
• Replace or repair conveyor systems, screens, and related components.
• Fabricate and weld parts or structural components as needed.
• Operate various hand and power tools and heavy equipment as required.
• Follow and enforce all safety policies and operational standards.
