Job Summary

Maintain plant daily performing routine maintenance tasks (i.e., lubrication, major and minor repairs) and cleanup (e.g., shoveling, washing with a high-pressure hose, operating a skid steer loader). Operate and maintain various pieces of equipment safely, such as front end loaders, off-road haul trucks, road graders, water trucks, service trucks, and skid steer loaders.

Main Responsibilities

1. Lubricate all plant and fleet equipment, requiring lifting of grease/lubrication containers (approximately 50 lbs.) and adding vital fluids to reservoirs, noting additions on equipment sheets.
2. Replace machine parts weighing several hundred pounds.
3. Perform pre-startup inspections of assigned equipment, which may require climbing on or over equipment.
4. Operate various pieces of equipment.
5. Work in heights and sometimes tight spaces.

Skills

1. High School Graduate or GED.
2. Willingness to learn, follow directions, and adhere to safe work procedures.
3. Willingness to work weekends and long hours during peak season.
4. Drug and alcohol free.
5. Ability to work outdoors year-round.
6. Mechanical proficiency (useful but not necessary).
7. 1-2 years of industry experience (useful but not necessary).
8. Knowledge of welding, cutting, and fabrication (useful but not necessary).

Physical Requirements

1. Lift 50 pounds from ground to waist.
2. Sit or stand for hours.
3. Work in high and confined spaces, requiring reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
