Job summary

Walbec Group produces high-quality construction materials and provides engineering and construction services across its six companies. The role leads a crew on quarry and production operations, focusing on safety and efficiency.

You will manage production, schedules, and daily operations, and operate crushers and other heavy equipment while coordinating with maintenance and management. Union participation is encouraged with competitive wages and strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Solid mining operations experience; foreman or lead role preferred.
• Strong communication and crew coordination skills.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Willingness to join the union if not already a member.
• Comfortable with early mornings, outdoor work, and changing conditions.
• Strong work ethic and problem-solving mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead a tight-knit crew to keep things moving safely and efficiently.
• Manage production, schedules, and daily operations.
• Operate and oversee crushers, screens, loaders, trucks, and mobile equipment.
• Handle maintenance needs, coordinate repairs, and keep equipment up to spec.
• Enforce safety practices and work site standards.
• Communicate clearly with crew, managers, and contractors.
• Pitch in when needed - welding, inspections, cleanup, you name it.
