Job summary

Walbec Group is seeking a foreman-level leader to supervise mining operations across the Midwest. You will guide a crew to ensure safe, efficient production, manage daily activities, and oversee crushers, screens, loaders, trucks, and mobile equipment.

You must have strong communication, union-readiness, and problem-solving skills, with a valid driver’s license and willingness to work early mornings outdoors in changing conditions. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in mining operations, preferably as a foreman or lead.
• Strong communication and crew-coordination skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Willingness to join the union if not already a member.
• Comfortable working early mornings, outdoors, and in changing conditions.
• Strong work ethic and problem-solving ability.

Responsibilities

• Lead a crew to maintain safe and efficient operations.
• Manage production schedules and daily activities.
• Operate and oversee crushers, screens, loaders, trucks, and mobile equipment.
• Handle maintenance, coordinate repairs and ensure all equipment meets specifications.
• Enforce safety practices and site standards.
• Communicate clearly with crew, managers and contractors.
• Assist with welding, inspections, cleanup and other tasks as needed.
