Job summary

Walbec Group is seeking a mining operations foreman/lead in Southern Wisconsin to manage production, schedules and daily operations. You will oversee crushers, screens, loaders, trucks, and mobile equipment while ensuring safety and efficiency on site.

Ideal candidates have solid mining leadership experience, strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Outdoor work and early hours are expected, with opportunities for growth within the company.

Qualifications

• Experience in mining operations, foreman or lead role preferred.
• Strong communication and crew coordination skills.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Willingness to join the union if not already a member.
• Comfortable with early mornings, outdoor work, and changing conditions.

The Position

Lead a tight‑knit crew to keep things moving safely and efficiently:

• Manage production, schedules, and daily operations.
• Operate and oversee crushers, screens, loaders, trucks, and mobile equipment.
• Handle maintenance needs, coordinate repairs, and keep equipment up to spec.
• Enforce safety practices and work site standards.
• Communicate clearly with crew, managers, and contractors.
• Pitch in when needed – welding, inspections, cleanup, you name it.

Requirements

• Solid experience in mining operations (foreman or lead role preferred).
• Good with communication and coordinating crews.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Willingness to join the union if you're not already a member.
