Job summary

State Street is seeking an Agentic AI Builder, Officer, to design and prototype AI-enabled business workflows across the investment management organization. You will work closely with stakeholders to translate processes into scalable agentic solutions, using modern AI tools and governance standards.

Responsibilities include prototyping, building AI agents and multi-agent workflows, and ensuring human-in-the-loop controls, with a focus on safe, measurable, and controlled adoption across functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, data science, mathematics, or a related quantitative or technical discipline.
• Strong engineering foundation with ability to build, experiment, and translate ambiguous problems into solutions.
• Hands-on interest or experience with generative AI, agentic AI, prompt engineering, or workflow automation.
• Familiarity with modern AI tools and platforms such as LLMs, agent frameworks, AI IDEs, or similar technologies.
• Programming experience in Python, SQL, or comparable languages for prototyping and data integration.
• Awareness of AI governance, data controls, model risk, security, and auditability in a regulated enterprise.
• Curiosity, ownership mindset, and a desire to grow into an AI engineer.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business stakeholders to understand workflows, pain points, and outcomes.
• Rapidly prototype, test, and implement agentic AI workflows.
• Design and build AI agents, multi-agent workflows, and semi-autonomous systems.
• Implement human-in-the-loop controls and performance measurement for safe AI adoption.
• Use AI development tools, frameworks, IDEs, and prompt engineering methods to accelerate delivery.
• Support model and agent testing, validation, and governance practices.
