Job summary

CACI is seeking a Software Engineer – Agentic AI to design, develop, and deploy scalable AI-enabled software systems. You will work on autonomous agent architectures, multi-agent collaboration, and cloud-native deployments, contributing across the full software lifecycle.

The role emphasizes hands-on development with Python, microservices, RESTful APIs, and modern CI/CD practices in an Agile environment, reporting to engineering leaders and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
8+ years of professional software engineering experience using object-oriented programming languages, with significant experience in Python.
Strong understanding of the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
Proficiency with git and modern source control platforms including branching strategies, code review, and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with Jira and Confluence for issue tracking and documentation.
Experience developing microservices and RESTful APIs.
Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable software solutions for Agentic AI capabilities.
Architect autonomous agent systems leveraging agentic workflows and multi-agent collaboration.
Integrate AI agents with enterprise applications and distributed systems via APIs and modern architectures.
Manage full software development lifecycle from concept to deployment and sustainment.
Develop clean, testable code and maintainable microservices and RESTful APIs.
Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to deliver new capabilities.
Participate in Scrum ceremonies and ensure software quality with unit/integration tests.
