Job summary

FIS in Jacksonville, FL is seeking an experienced engineer to design and implement agentic workflows that scale the enterprise software development lifecycle. You will build coding harnesses, reusable libraries and automated workflows using Python and TypeScript, enabling coding agents to create, test and improve software with limited supervision.

Collaborate with engineering and client-facing teams, participate in sprint planning, and document interfaces and configuration requirements.

Qualifications

Practical software development experience using Python, TypeScript or comparable programming languages.
Understanding of application design, APIs, source control, debugging and automated testing.
Experience building or integrating developer tools, automation frameworks or software libraries.
Ability to translate multifaceted requirements into maintainable software solutions.
Familiarity with cloud-based software development, deployment and operational support.
Ability to manage semi-complex assignments independently and communicate technical information clearly.
Degree in computer science, engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

Design, develop and maintain agentic workflows across the software development lifecycle.
Build coding harnesses, reusable libraries and integrations using Python and TypeScript.
Configure coding agents to generate, test, debug and refine software safely.
Develop and integrate Model Context Protocol servers, tools and supporting services.
Create automated tests and validation controls for AI-assisted software development.
Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, technical discussions and agile delivery activities.
Troubleshoot integration, configuration and performance issues across development environments.
Collaborate with engineering, implementation and client-facing teams to deliver practical solutions.
Document software designs, operating procedures, interfaces and configuration requirements.
Identify opportunities to improve software quality, developer experience and workflow automation.
