Job summary
FIS is seeking an experienced engineer to lead the design and implementation of agentic engineering capabilities that scale the enterprise software development lifecycle. You will guide architectural decisions and coordinate cross-functional delivery to enable reliable AI-assisted software delivery.
You will mentor engineers, define standards for AI-generated software, and drive adoption of scalable, secure platform patterns using Python, TypeScript and cloud-native technologies.
Qualifications
- Expert software engineering across architecture, integration, testing and production operations.
- Advanced proficiency with Python, TypeScript or similar languages for platform development.
- Experience leading complex software initiatives with multiple systems and teams.
- Proven track record building developer platforms, coding frameworks or automation.
- Deep knowledge of cloud architecture, distributed systems, APIs, security and reliability.
- Ability to define technical standards and influence decisions without direct authority.
- Degree in computer science, engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead architecture and delivery of enterprise agentic workflows across the software development lifecycle.
- Establish technical patterns for coding agents, harnesses, reusable libraries and automated engineering workflows.
- Design secure Model Context Protocol servers and integration frameworks for enterprise tools and data.
- Define standards for evaluating, testing, monitoring and governing AI-generated software.
- Guide teams building scalable solutions with Python, TypeScript and cloud-native technologies.
- Resolve complex architecture, integration, debugging, performance and reliability challenges.
- Shape technical roadmaps that align platform investments with engineering and business priorities.
- Lead code and design reviews to improve quality, maintainability, security and operational readiness.
- Partner with implementation and client-facing teams to diagnose needs and deliver effective solutions.
- Mentor engineers and communicate technical practices across teams and organizational boundaries.
