Job summary

FIS is seeking a software engineer in Jacksonville, FL to design and build agentic workflows that scale the enterprise software development lifecycle. You will develop coding harnesses and libraries using Python and TypeScript, and enable automated testing and AI-assisted development.

You will work across teams to refine software, integrate Model Context Protocol servers, and troubleshoot issues with limited supervision while contributing to sprint planning and code reviews.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Python and TypeScript with solid API design skills.
• Experience in building or integrating developer tools and automation frameworks.
• Familiarity with cloud-based development, deployment and operations.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain agentic workflows across the software development lifecycle.
• Build coding harnesses, reusable libraries and integrations using Python and TypeScript.
• Configure coding agents to generate, test, debug and refine software safely.
• Develop and integrate Model Context Protocol servers, tools and supporting services.
• Create automated tests and validation controls for AI-assisted software development.
• Participate in sprint planning, code reviews and agile delivery activities.
• Troubleshoot integration, configuration and performance issues across environments.
• Collaborate with engineering, implementation and client-facing teams to deliver practical solutions.
• Document software designs, operating procedures, interfaces and configuration requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve software quality, developer experience and workflow automation.
