Job summary

Micron Technology is seeking an ambitious Staff Engineer (MTS) to architect autonomous AI Agents and scalable data pipelines that power manufacturing insights at scale. You will collaborate with data scientists and engineers to deploy agentic AI solutions across cloud and on-prem environments.

The role emphasizes end-to-end system design, performance profiling, and secure deployment practices, with a focus on production-grade agent frameworks and continuous delivery to Kubernetes clusters.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in computer science, statistics, or related field.
• 8+ years in large-scale data/ML pipelines or production AI systems.
• Experience optimizing inference engines for autonomous AI agents.
• Proficiency with LLMs, prompt engineering, function calling, and CoT reasoning.

Responsibilities

• Design autonomous AI agents capable of multi-step reasoning and tool execution.
• Implement agentic frameworks to orchestrate LLM interactions with internal APIs and databases.
• Build and maintain agent evaluation harnesses for benchmarking accuracy and reliability.
• Profile and optimize agent and inference workloads to reduce latency and compute needs.
• Implement multi-agent systems using A2A protocol and MCP tooling.
• Create/maintain CI/CD pipelines for deploying AI agents to Kubernetes.
• Address security controls for autonomous AI agents and sandboxing.
