Job Responsibilities
  • Source equipment, goods, and services along with vendor identification and management
  • Review purchase requisitions and confer with suppliers to obtain product information such as price, availability, and delivery schedule
  • Receive price quotes from vendors, compare quotes against requirements and the budget
  • Negotiate pricing and close deals with optimal terms
  • Resolve shipment errors with suppliers
  • Support the development and implementation of new purchasing strategies to deliver ongoing cost reductions and process simplification
  • Review bid proposals and negotiate contracts within budgetary limitations and scope of authority
  • Enter purchase orders for OE, AM, and stock for 4 brands, including fabrication PO’s and buyout items
  • Assist in input and updating min/max data on stock/raw materials
  • Maintain positive communication with all stakeholders
  • Place purchase orders and follow up accordingly
  • Manage supplier relationships with key/critical suppliers
  • Coordinate domestic subcontracting and kitting programs
  • Review, select, and negotiate terms with suppliers
  • Process requests for quotation and information to support estimating and sales
  • Handle returns to suppliers via nonconformance procedures
  • Develop and issue corrective actions to suppliers and track completion
  • Manage the company’s MRB process
  • Assist finance with accounts payable issues
  • Oversee VMI activities
  • Maintain the Approved Supplier List and participate in SDMT
  • Ensure a safe and clean workplace environment
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or equivalent
  • 3-5 years’ purchasing experience in manufacturing, subcontracting, or project environment
  • Strong supply chain management knowledge
  • Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, especially D365
  • Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel
  • Good judgment, decision-making, and leadership skills
  • Self-motivated, customer-oriented
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to manage multiple projects
  • Exceptional negotiation skills
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Design techniques and principles
  • Engineering and technology application
  • Mechanical knowledge of machines and tools
  • Mathematics including algebra, geometry, calculus, and statistics
  • English language proficiency
  • Active learning, listening, critical thinking, and reading comprehension
  • Near vision, mathematical reasoning, visualization, fluency of ideas, oral comprehension
ADA Requirements

Position involves typing, sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions. Requires concentration and high accuracy, usually in a comfortable environment. Must comply with attendance standards.
