Job summary

Pinkerton is seeking a disciplined Security Agent in Columbus, OH to protect client interests through concierge-level security, incident reporting, and proactive risk mitigation. The role covers residential, campus, and event security with a Monday–Friday afternoon/evening schedule.

The ideal candidate holds a High School Diploma or GED, relevant licenses (OPOTA, CCW), and prior security or law enforcement experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with security experience.
• OPOTA, Firearm Bearer Endorsement, and CCW are required.
• Strong customer service and report-writing skills.
• Experience with access control, CCTV, and alarms.
• Ability to interact with diverse teams and cultures.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• 3+ years of armed security experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Represent Pinkerton’s core values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence.
• Provide the client with concierge-level security at the client location and/or events.
• Deescalate tense situations or individuals that may arise.
• Write detailed incident reports following any incident, occurrence, or variance that warrants documentation.
• Conduct quality investigations and complete investigative reports.
• Oversee external campus drop off/pick-ups and conduct perimeter patrols, as assigned.
• Provide response services related to emergency and crisis planning, high risk terminations, workforce disruptions, natural disaster, civil unrest, and threat monitoring.
• Transport the client to and from company location and/or events, as assigned.
• Secure the client’s residential perimeter and review CCTV, manage access controls, and respond to alarms, as assigned.
• Identify and elevate equipment deficiencies/failures.
• All other duties, as assigned.

The Agent may perform a variety of responsibilities based on the assignment to include concierge-level, residential, campus security, event security, response services, basic driving, and/or investigations.

The schedule is Monday - Friday 1:00 pm - 9:00 pm.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED with law enforcement, military, and/or security experience. An OPOTA, Firearm Bearer Endorsement, and CCW are required. This position requires completion of Pinkerton's licensing process which will require additional training and may include verification of required licenses and affiliation to the appropriate Pinkerton entity.

• Concierge-level customer service knowledge.
• Able to complete thorough and accurate investigations and reports.
• Access control systems, CCTV, and alarm monitoring experience.
• Problem resolution skills.
• Able to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer knowledge; Microsoft Office.
• Prior military and/or law enforcement and 3+ years of armed experience is preferred.
