Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a junior portfolio manager for the TCIO Investment Portfolio Agency Mortgage-Backed Securities Team.

The role focuses on research, execution of trades, and monitoring markets to maximize risk-adjusted returns within the firm’s capital and liquidity framework. Associate or Vice President level applicants will contribute to data-driven analysis, desk processes, and cross-functional collaboration with Risk, Finance, and Strategy teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant experience in fixed income sales and trading, portfolio management, or research.
• Strong understanding of interest rates and fixed income markets.
• Strong quantitative and data analysis skills.
• Self-starter with ability to continually drive results even under uncertainty.

Responsibilities

• Conduct data-driven, relative-value analysis to generate trade ideas and inform the portfolio's MBS exposure.
• Execute trades and engage with sell-side counterparties, incorporating market color.
• Analyze trends around supply and demand, prepayments, housing, and the macro environment to inform positioning.
• Improve desk processes and analytics.
• Prepare and deliver presentations and market updates for the TCIO Investment Portfolio team and senior management.
• Collaborate with Middle Office, Risk, Finance, and TCIO Strategy.
