Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking an Associate for the US CMBS Strategy team in New York to shape insights and strategy for institutional investor clients. You will contribute to analysis of Agency and private-label CMBS, develop forecasts, and build analytical frameworks to support strategic initiatives.

You will collaborate with economists, strategists, and sales & trading to communicate views and generate trade ideas, while staying current on market developments in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex datasets and extract actionable insights.
• Proficiency in Python and advanced Microsoft Excel for data analysis and workflow automation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to explain complex concepts clearly to varied audiences.
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively across partners (e.g., economists, strategists, sales & trading).
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Intellectual curiosity, high sense of urgency, strong work ethic, and a team-oriented mindset.

Our coverage spans Agency CMBS (GSE and Ginnie Mae-guaranteed) and private label (non-Agency) CMBS. The role involves developing views grounded in commercial real estate and CMBS credit fundamentals, market technicals, and deal structuring.
