Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a junior portfolio manager within the TCIO Agency MBS team to conduct data-driven analysis, support trade ideas, and monitor markets. You will work on the firm’s Agency MBS investments with the aim of maximizing risk-adjusted returns in a large global portfolio.

The role emphasizes quantitative analysis, communication of complex ideas, and teamwork across Risk, Finance, and Strategy partners to drive informed investment decisions in a dynamic market environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in fixed income sales and trading, portfolio management, or research.
• Strong understanding of interest rates and fixed income markets.
• Strong quantitative and data analysis skills.
• Self-starter with ability to drive results under uncertainty.
• Excellent communication skills; ability to convey complex ideas clearly.
• Team-oriented, collaborative mindset; promote healthy market discussions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct data-driven, relative-value analysis to generate trade ideas and inform MBS exposure.
• Execute trades and engage with sell-side counterparties.
• Analyze trends around supply, prepayments, housing, and macro factors.
• Improve desk processes and analytics.
• Prepare and deliver presentations and market updates for TCIO Investment Portfolio team and senior management.
• Collaborate with Middle Office, Risk, Finance, and TCIO Strategy
