About the job

We are searching for a motivated Agency Development Manager in Richmond, VA. The Agency Development Manager is an independent insurance sales agent role, responsible for leading and mentoring other independent agents in delivering voluntary benefits and utilizing advanced technology to help local businesses create comprehensive benefits packages that protect their employees in unexpected situations.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Recruiting and training new sales representatives
  2. Assisting with interviews and onboarding
  3. Coaching on prospecting and presentation skills
  4. Supporting new agents in achieving sales goals
  5. Utilizing tools for prospecting, client acquisition, and management
  6. Leading onboarding of new agents

Preferred qualifications and skills:

  1. Proven ability to recruit, develop, and lead sales teams
  2. Background in insurance sales with a Life & Accident/Health Insurance License (or willingness to obtain one)
  3. Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently while inspiring teams

Compensation: As an Agency Development Manager, you can earn competitive commissions based on sales, including renewal income, bonuses, and trips. Training and professional development are available to help you grow your agency. You may also join the Association of Insurance Professionals (AIP) for additional perks and discounts.

This is an independent contractor role, meaning you are in business for yourself but supported by our resources. Income potential is sales-based and uncapped, with significant growth opportunities based on your business skills.
