Job summary

LIO LIFE is seeking a disciplined Agency Bill Manager to own the agency bill book, reconcile statements, and drive improvements in cash application. You will collaborate with agency accounting, back-office teams, and underwriting to resolve discrepancies and optimize processes.

The role emphasizes relationship management, accurate reporting, and proactive communication with agency partners. A strong background in agency bill accounting, Excel, and billing systems is required for this full-time

Qualifications

• Strong relationship-management skills; build trust with agency partners.
• Solid understanding of agency bill accounting, account current processing, and commission structures.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail in reconciliation.
• Effective written and verbal communication; train external agency staff on billing requirements.
• Ability to manage high volume accounts, deadlines, and collections in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to integrity and confidentiality in handling financial data.
• Comfortable identifying process improvements, including AI-assisted automation.
• Proficiency with policy/billing systems; experience with system upgrades a plus.

Responsibilities

• Owns agency bill book, reconciles current statements and discrepancies.
• Collaborates with agency accounting and underwriting to resolve issues.
• Trains agencies on submission requirements, timelines, and portal usage.
• Maintains setup, terms, and commission schedules in billing systems.
• Drives process improvements to accelerate cash application and reduce exceptions.
• Supports month-end close with reconciliation summaries and data.
• Participates in due diligence and UAT for new systems and upgrades.
