Job summary

The New York City Police Department's Body Worn Camera Unit is seeking a legally trained professional to process FOIL/CCR B requests, review footage, redact as needed, and produce data files for the FOIL unit.

You will work with supervisors, attorneys, and investigators to determine appropriate action and ensure timely responses, with training provided on handling multiple requests end-to-end.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited United States law school or admission to the New York State Bar.
• Ability to analyze FOIL/CCRB requests and locate responsive materials.
• Experience or training in reviewing footage and applying redactions.

Responsibilities

• Analyze requests and identify responsive footage and required redactions.
• Contact requesters and coordinate with supervisors, attorneys, and investigators to determine appropriate actions.
• Liaise with stakeholders to ensure deadlines are met and processes are followed.
