Job summary

The New York City Police Department seeks an Agency Attorney Interne to manage FOIL/CCR BWC requests, subpoenas, and related inquiries. Duties include analyzing requests, locating footage, and performing required redactions with liaison to supervisors and attorneys. Training will cover handling multiple FOIL requests from start to finish.

Minimum qualifications require graduation from an accredited U.S. law school or admission to the New York State Bar.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with NYS FOIL Law.
• Familiarity with NYS Article 78 litigation.
• Familiarity with NYS Motion Practice.

Responsibilities

• Analyze requests and determine appropriate response.
• Contact requester and locate relevant footage.
• Review footage for redactions and apply them as required.
• Coordinate with supervisors and attorneys.
