BallyCara is seeking a reliable Housekeeper for our Residential Aged Care community in Scarborough. This casual role offers the potential to become permanent for the right person, with duties centered on keeping rooms, bathrooms and common areas clean and comfortable for residents.

You will join a supportive team in a values-driven charity that prioritises wellbeing, professional development and compassionate care. A pre-employment medical may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning, housekeeping or similar hands-on role.
• Dependable, punctual and ready to contribute.
• Eye for detail and pride in results.
• Ability to work independently while being a strong team player.
• Friendly, respectful and comfortable around older people.
• Understanding of infection control is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Keep resident rooms fresh, clean and comfortable.
• Sparkle shared spaces: lounges, bathrooms, offices and communal areas.
• Vacuum, mop, dust and sanitise to high hygiene standards.
• Assist with in-house laundry: washing, sorting and distributing linen.
• replenishing supplies and ensuring readiness for the day.
• Follow infection prevention and control procedures.
• Use cleaning equipment, chemicals and PPE safely.
• Report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Share a friendly smile and treat residents with kindness and respect.
