Ziegler Ag Equipment in Fort Dodge, IA is hiring an Ag Technician to diagnose and repair a full line of agricultural equipment from planting to harvest. The role emphasizes troubleshooting, timely documentation, and safe work practices at our Fort Dodge branch.

Qualified candidates will have 2-year technical college in diesel technology or related field or a two-year shop background with 2+ years of ag diesel repair experience, plus strong communication and computer skills.

Qualifications

• 2-year technical college degree in diesel technology or related field; or High school diploma/GED and 2 years of comparable shop mechanic experience.
• 2+ years of relevant ag diesel engine/equipment repair experience preferred.
• Ability to write and communicate effectively with supervisors, customers and team members.
• Own mechanic tool set and basic computer skills to document work orders and use online diagnostic systems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair ag equipment from application, tillage, planting to harvest equipment.
• Document work orders completely and timely to ensure high customer satisfaction.
• Work safely at all times, following company policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with other technicians and assist as needed with troubleshooting repairs.
• Participate in ongoing training to enhance mechanical skills and product knowledge.

Ziegler Ag Equipment has an Ag Technician position working on the full line of ag equipment from planting to the harvest. We are looking for a dedicated ag mechanic with excellent troubleshooting, diagnostic skills and a sense of urgency at our Fort Dodge branch. Hours: M-F, 8:30am-5pm. The pay range for this position is $27.00 to $45.00. Starting wage is dependent on skills, experience, education and location. Pay range may vary by 10% depending upon the applicant’s location.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of repairing a variety of agricultural equipment; ag technology experience is a definite plus
• Ability to write and communicate effectively and interact with supervisors, customers and team members
• Basic computer skills to document work orders and utilize online diagnostic systems
• Own mechanic tool set
• Ability to maintain a safe and clean work environment
• This role is deemed safety sensitive and requires the ability to successfully complete a pre-employment drug test
