Job summary

CLAAS of America Inc. is seeking a Summer Intern for an Ag Machinery Technical Support Specialist role.

The intern will provide in-field technical support for CLAAS products at dealer locations, customer sites, or in the field, and may perform repairs as needed. Ideal candidates are pursuing a technical degree, have an agricultural equipment background, and demonstrate strong technical communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technical field; ag focus is a plus.
• Experience with agriculture equipment operations and maintenance.
• Ability to diagnose equipment performance issues and identify resolutions.
• Excellent written and verbal technical communication; strong interpersonal skills.
• Proficient with MS Windows, Outlook, and Microsoft Office; eager to learn more.
• Able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provides in-field technical support for assigned CLAAS products at dealer locations, customer sites, or in the field.
• Performs necessary repairs to CLAAS products as required.
• Conducts assigned field test activities as required.
• Assists with Product Improvement Programs and Campaigns as requested.
• Schedules dealer and customer visits as dictated by technical needs.
• Reports customer and dealer visits and territory activity weekly.
• Reports results and variances daily; proposes actions with Field Support/Warranty Manager.
