Job summary

Butler Machinery Co and Butler Ag Equipment are looking for future Ag Equipment Diesel Technicians through the ButlerMAX program. This 2-year path combines LATC coursework and paid internships at our stores, with graduates earning an AAS in Diesel Technology.

Graduates transition to full-time roles with starting pay over $32.73/hour, with ongoing education and career advancement opportunities across North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, and Montana locations.

Qualifications

• High school junior or senior eligible to apply.
• Diploma or GED required at program start.
• Must be 18 by first internship.
• Must be accepted by Lake Area Technical College by its application deadline.
• Applied knowledge of basic mechanical theory.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient computer technology skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain GPA of 3.0 in the program.
• Complete internship hours (1,280).
• Be prepared and on time for work and school.
• Proactively maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
• Tuition, books, housing, tools, and fees not covered by scholarship.
• Secure housing for school and internship locations.
• Committed to lifelong learning and training.
• Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.
• Other duties as assigned
