Job summary

Riesterer & Schnell, a premier John Deere dealership in Wisconsin, is hiring a Service Technician in Shawano. You will diagnose, repair, recondition and assemble equipment, collaborating with Parts and Service teams. You may travel for field work; expect a shop-focused role with some after-hours responsibilities to support customer needs.

Starting wage range is typically $25-35/hr, varying by experience. Hours are Mon-Fri 7:30 am–5 pm, with a voluntary Saturday shift.

Qualifications

• Three+ years of related experience preferred.
• Associates Degree in agricultural equipment, diesel technology, and/or other equipment preferred.
• Knowledge of farm equipment preferred.
• Must have own tools.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and insurable driving history.

Responsibilities

• Accepts repair orders as assigned by the Service Manager, Assistant Service Manager, Service Writer or assigned person.
• Diagnose problems and determine what repairs are needed; coordinate with Service office staff to obtain approvals.
• Repair, service, recondition or assemble equipment as approved by the customer/Service Manager.
• Obtain necessary parts in cooperation with Parts Department staff; notify Service Manager when parts orders need expediting.
• Complete service inspections and recommend repairs.
• Promote marketing programs to drive sales; participate in after-hours program as needed.
• Communicate with customers in a positive, professional manner; explain repairs clearly.
