Ziegler CAT in Sioux City is seeking an Ag/Construction Technician to diagnose and repair Caterpillar heavy construction and agricultural equipment. The role requires strong troubleshooting, diagnostic skills and a sense of urgency.

Hours are Monday to Friday, 7am-3pm or 4x10s, with a competitive benefits package. Starting pay ranges from $27.00 to $45.00 per hour, with wage variations based on skills, experience, and location.

Qualifications

• 2-year technical college degree in diesel technology or related field, or high school diploma/GED and 2 years of comparable shop mechanic experience.
• Experience with ag diesel engines/equipment preferred.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, transmissions, undercarriage, track systems, electrical, and fuel systems; Caterpillar experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair Caterpillar equipment including heavy construction and ag components.
• Document work orders timely to ensure high customer satisfaction.
• Work safely following company policies and standards.
• Collaborate with other technicians to troubleshoot repairs.
• Participate in ongoing training to enhance skills and product knowledge.
