Ziegler CAT in Sioux City, IA is seeking an Ag/Construction Technician to diagnose and repair Caterpillar equipment, from compact to heavy machinery, at our Sioux City branch.

The role requires a 2-year technical degree or equivalent experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to document work orders. Hours are M-F 7am-3pm or 4x10s; benefits include health, PTO, holidays, 401(k), and more.

Qualifications

• 2-year technical college degree in diesel technology or related field; or High school diploma/GED and 2 years of comparable shop mechanic experience.
• 2+ years of relevant ag diesel engine/equipment repair experience is preferred.
• Working knowledge of hydraulics, transmissions, undercarriage, track systems, components, electrical, and fuel systems; Caterpillar experience is a plus but not required.
• Ability to write and communicate effectively and interact with supervisors, customers and team members.
• Basic computer skills to document work orders and utilize online diagnostic systems.
• Own mechanic tool set.
• Ability to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
