Job summary

Grandview School District's McClure Elementary 21st Century Afterschool Program seeks a Youth Development Specialist to support K-5 students with small-group reading and math practice, and to assist with tutorials. You will participate in training, help administer pre- and post-assessments, and work with tutors and site supervisor to implement 21st Century programming.

This temporary role for the 2026-2027 school year offers up to two positions.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum qualifications: paraprofessional requirements include an associate’s degree, 72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits, or passing the paraeducator assessment.

Responsibilities

• Assist identify struggling K-5 students for small group reading/math support and tutoring.
• Participate in training related to program components.
• Assist tutors with pre- and post-assessments when appropriate.
• Collaborate with 21st Century tutors and site supervisor to implement programming.
