Job summary

Learning Through an Expanded Arts Program (LEAP) in New York, NY, is seeking Group Leaders to work on-site after school, Monday through Friday, 2:00pm–5:30pm. You’ll supervise youth, facilitate arts, performance arts, sports, and STEM activities, and help ensure a safe, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or its equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of experience working with children or youth.
• Ability to maintain professional relationships with children, families, and staff.
• Ability to model professional behavior and be punctual.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage participants to foster positive youth development.
• Prepare materials and space for age-appropriate activities.
• Assist with planning and implementing activities and events.
• Support classroom management and foster an inclusive environment.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings as required.
