Job summary

City & Borough of Juneau is seeking a Full-Time Youth Services Coordinator I to run our grant-funded afterschool program at Cedar Park and Geneva Woods in Douglas. The role focuses on creating safe, engaging activities, recruiting youth, and coordinating family nights, field trips, and ongoing youth support.

You will supervise up to four part-time staff, coach team members, schedule shifts, and ensure high-quality programming while partnering with families and community partners to support youth

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or the equivalent.
• Six months of work experience in any field.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site afterschool programming at Cedar Park and Geneva Woods.
• Coordinate recruitment and development of engaging programming; plan monthly family nights and field trips.
• Supervise up to four part-time staff; coach, schedule shifts and train new staff.
• Create a safe, engaging space for youth and communicate with families about activities.
