Job summary

SEEDS Ecology & Education Centers seeks an EcoSchool Assistant Site Coordinator to support the Site Coordinator and youth programs, delivering nutrition, enrichment, and academic/emotional support to students. This role collaborates with staff, school partners, and families, ensuring engaging lessons and smooth daily operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Must pass all required background checks.
• First Aid/CPR certification is required.
• Minimum of 1 year working with youth; age 19+ preferred.
• Must meet all DHHS/MiLEAP qualifications as stated in licensing rules.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and conduct high-quality lessons aligned with grant objectives.
• Establish and maintain excellent relationships with Site Coordinator, staff, students and families.
• Manage and run programming in classroom with minimal supervision.
• Document child behavior instances and report as required.
• Provide leadership in absence of Site Coordinator and oversee support staff.
• Respond to emergencies and execute emergency plans.
• Assist with data collection and reporting per DHHS/MiLEAP and MDE requirements.
• Enter attendance and EZ reports weekly; facilitate end-of-year surveys.
• Contribute to program improvement goals and reporting outcomes.
