Job summary

Brigade Boys & Girls Club in Wallace, NC seeks a Youth Development Professional to plan, implement, facilitate and supervise activities in a specific program area. You will work with volunteers, promote safety, and ensure a positive club environment for youth and families.

The role requires fostering engaging educational activities, coordinating services, and maintaining records while supporting the developmental needs of members. This is a part-time, non-exempt position with 20-25 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 and a High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience working directly with school-aged youth.
• Proficient with basic computer tasks and online research.

Responsibilities

• Create an environment that facilitates Youth Development Outcomes and promotes program participation.
• Coordinate assigned program services and cooperative learning activities for youth.
• Plan, lead, monitor and evaluate programs to ensure safety and quality.
• Manage daily setup/cleanup of materials used in the program.
• Supervise and guide members to maintain a safe, positive atmosphere.
• Maintain accurate attendance records and prepare activity or grant reports.
• Foster positive relationships with members, parents, and volunteers.
