Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Joseph County in Clinton County, Frankfort, IN, seeks a Youth Development Professional to support afterschool youth programming and daily activities for K-12 members and families.

The role focuses on planning, implementing, and guiding engaging program activities while maintaining safety, rapport, and collaboration with staff, volunteers, and community partners.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; some post-secondary education is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Experience working with youth, including recreation, coaching, training, tutoring, or teaching.
• Knowledge of basic Microsoft Office and web-based computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Support the Unit Director in planning and implementing holistic programming for members.
• Plan, organize, and implement Club curriculum and activity schedules.
• Sustain dedicated presence on site during all hours of operation.
• Maintain positive, professional relations with Club parents and families.
• Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and planning sessions.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment conducive to youth development.
• Participate in required reporting and administrative functions related to youth development.
• Interface professionally with members’ families, volunteers, and school officials.
