Boys & Girls Clubs of White County seeks an enthusiastic Youth Development Professional for the West Central region in Francesville, IN to support afterschool programming and promote literacy, math, and social-emotional learning.

The role emphasizes positive engagement with elementary-age members, planning age-appropriate activities, and maintaining a safe, welcoming environment while collaborating with families, staff, volunteers, and school partners.

Qualifications

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Experience working with youth, including recreation, coaching, training, tutoring, or teaching is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of physical, social recreational games, coaching or tutoring methods is also preferred.
• Ability and willingness to consistently engage youth in all activities is a must.
• Knowledge of basic Microsoft Office, web- and non-web based computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Support the multi-faceted afterschool youth programming through positive, engaging interactions with members and their families.
• Contribute to the planning and implementation of all activities and events central to the core program areas.
• Develop positive rapport and guide groups of elementary grade children in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Collaborate with staff, volunteers, interns, donors, and families to sustain an educationally motivating, safe environment.
• Participate in required reporting and administrative functions relative to youth development and program management.
