Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Joseph County is seeking staff to support afterschool youth programming. You will plan and implement activities, build positive relationships with K‑12 members and their families, and help create a safe, engaging environment that promotes learning and growth.

Responsibilities include coordinating curriculum, supervising groups, and collaborating with staff, volunteers, and partners to sustain high-quality programs across sites.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school graduate; CPR certification preferred.
• Experience working with youth in recreation, coaching, tutoring, or teaching.
• Knowledge of basic Microsoft Office applications and web-based tools.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and implement Club curriculum, programs, and activity schedules.
• Maintain consistent on-site presence during operating hours.
• Support holistic programming and youth development in a fast-paced environment.
• Facilitate development of activities addressing member needs and interests.
• Uphold safety, guidance, and discipline policies; engage with families and volunteers.
• Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and administrative tasks related to youth development.
