Socket.dev is seeking a Youth Development Director to plan, organize, conduct and evaluate leadership development programs for youth ages 6-18, delivering engaging activities and guidance to help participants build character, citizenship and personal growth within a dynamic youth center setting.

Qualifications

• College degree from a state-accredited university and at least two years’ related experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively with youth aged 6–18 and other staff.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills essential.
• Proven track record engaging youth in a responsible and mature manner.

Responsibilities

• Recruit members for Character and Leadership Development programs.
• Deliver engaging programming for youth ages 6-18.
• Ensure effective delivery of programs in the Good Character and Citizenship area.
• Thoroughly evaluate all assigned departmental programs.
• Manage department inventory and budget, acquiring materials as needed.
• Collaborate with community partners, families, schools and organizations.
• Participate in organizational meetings and conferences.
• Maintain a healthy, safe environment in program areas.
