Job summary

Under the Program Director, you will implement curriculum, manage classrooms, supervise up to 20 participants, collaborate with staff, and ensure a safe, inclusive environment while meeting the organization’s mission.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise or advanced experience in a specific activity area (e.g., STEAM, literacy, sports, arts).
• Experience in planning and implementing curriculum for afterschool programs.
• Ability to supervise groups of youth in structured settings.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage groups of up to 20 participants in a structured program setting.
• Develop, plan, and implement lessons aligned with program curriculum and project-based learning.
• Lead enrichment activities in STEAM, literacy, sports, health/fitness, or arts.
• Collaborate with staff to implement program themes and instructional activities.
• Monitor progress, provide encouragement, and give constructive feedback.
• Prepare activities to teach relevant skills, tactics, and techniques.
• Advise youth on healthy habits and safety practices.
• Attend weekly coaches meetings and required staff trainings.
• Coordinate with Sports Coordinator for off-site games and transportation.
• Ensure rosters are accurate and documentation is complete.
