Partnership with Children in the Bronx, NY is seeking an After-School Program Activity Specialist to deliver engaging activities for school-aged children in an in-person, after-school setting. Qualifikationen

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years in specialization.
• At least one year of experience overseeing and managing groups of children.
• Must have a strong interest in working with children and be sensitive to social‑emotional needs.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with program staff, school personnel, parents.
• Must have excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and organizational.
• Experience creating lesson plans preferred. Specifically in the field of STEM.
• Candidates qualified to lead instruction in more than one activity are also preferred.

Aufgaben

• Create a supportive and nurturing group environment.
• Ensure the safety of all the children.
• Facilitate programmatic elements for the group.
• Provide age-appropriate activities according to the program activity schedule and class.
• Develop and execute fun and engaging lesson plans (activities) in discipline area (STEM, dance, vocal, cooking, creative movement, sports, visual arts and/or other physical or arts activities).
• Prepare materials and hand‑outs for lessons.
• Create and coordinate student performances for showcases.
• Attend team and group supervision meetings.
• Attend professional development trainings as required by the agency and program contract.
• Other duties as assigned.
