Job summary

The City of Conroe is seeking a dedicated Afterschool Program staff member assigned to the Oscar Johnson Jr Enrichment & Recreation Center. Under supervision, you will deliver programs and events to the public, open and close facilities, and assist with planning, gathering and organizing supplies, setting up and taking down activities, and ensuring the safety of participants.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, the ability to obtain relevant certifications, basic cash

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic cash handling and customer service.
• Experience working with children and delivering public programs/events.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to multitask.
• Ability to obtain relevant certifications within the time period designated by supervisor.
• Experience with public programs/events preferred.

Responsibilities

• With supervision, delivers programs and events directly to the public; open and close facilities; assist with planning, gathering and organizing supplies/equipment, set-up, assigning duties and take-down for programs and events.
• Perform cursory cleanup of facility as needed; follow all City and Center policies and procedures; responsible for the care and safety of participants.
