Job summary

City of Conroe, Texas, seeks an Afterschool Program Assistant at the Oscar Johnson Jr Enrichment & Recreation Center to deliver programs and events and to assist with planning, setup and supervision.

You will open/close facilities, coordinate supplies, assign duties, ensure safety, and perform light cleanup while adhering to center policies. Must be 18+, hold a HS diploma, and have leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in public program/event delivery and staff supervision.
• Experience working with children.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills and customer service.
• Knowledge of cash handling.

Responsibilities

• Delivers programs and events to the public.
• Opens and closes facilities.
• Assists with planning, gathering and organizing supplies/equipment, setup, assigning duties and takedown.
• Performs cursory cleanup and promotes safety per policies.
• Ensures care and safety of participants.
