Job summary

Saginaw Public Schools is seeking Support Staff for the Before the Bell/After the Bell program. Employees assist in before/after school activities as directed by the Program Director to ensure a quality program.

Responsibilities include helping recruit, plan, and evaluate activities, manage snacks, sign in/out students, and build positive relationships with children and families, while maintaining confidentiality in a multi-cultural urban setting.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Previous experience working with middle/high school aged students preferred.
• Previous experience coordinating or facilitating programs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, plan, and evaluate program activities.
• Assist in preparation and monitoring of daily snacks.
• Assist with sign in/out for students.
• Develop positive relationships with children, parents, and the school community.
• Plan and implement program sessions under the Program Director.
• Create a creative learning environment that fits children's needs.
