Job summary

Walnut Valley Unified School District is seeking a Child Care Site Supervisor to manage before/after-school programs for TK-8 students. You will plan daily operations, supervise staff, and collaborate with families and school personnel to maintain a safe, supportive, and developmentally appropriate environment.

The role requires leadership experience in child care settings, education credentials or permits, and current First Aid/CPR certifications.

Qualifications

• Two years of paid experience leading staff in a children’s center or equivalent program.
• Completion of high school and 12 semester units in early childhood education or child development, plus related core areas.
• Possession of, or eligibility for, a California Children’s Center Permit or a bachelor’s degree.
• Current First Aid and CPR certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and design environments for TK-8 students.
• Supervise intersession camps and field trips.
• Collaborate with site staff, families, and others for a whole-child program.
• Monitor safety, sanitation, and organization of activity areas and equipment.
• Instruct staff in motivation, positive redirection, and appropriate behavior.
• Create activity and snack calendars and staff schedules.
• Assist in recruitment, staff evaluations, and timekeeping.
• Assist in budget planning and inventory control.
• Administer first aid and coordinate emergency responses as needed.
