Job summary

YMCA of the Twin Tiers is seeking an Olean SACC Portville Site Supervisor to lead afterschool programming at Portville Elementary School. The role ensures safety, program quality, and strong family communication under NYS OCFS regulations, with supervision of staff and budget oversight.

You will monitor enrollment, coordinate age-appropriate activities, and partner with school personnel to support youth development and community engagement.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree preferred; high school diploma with 2+ years of experience required.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience in youth programming or childcare.
• Familiarity with NYS OCFS regulations and best practices in child safety and education.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to program sites.
• Must complete and pass background checks, medical forms, TB testing.
• Ability to direct programs including budgeting, marketing, public relations, and fundraising.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations of the school-age childcare program at the afterschool site.
• Ensure safety and compliance with YMCA and NYS OCFS standards.
• Monitor enrollment, attendance, and family communications; report to Senior Director.
• Recruit, train, schedule, supervise, develop, and evaluate staff and volunteers.
• Plan age-appropriate programming and lesson plans aligned with standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation: attendance, scheduling, meals, billing.
• Build relationships with children, families, school staff, and community partners.
• Promote YMCA core values and participate in fundraising campaigns.
• Oversee program environments, supplies, and budget expenditures.
