Job summary

Hope Through Housing Foundation in Yorba Linda is seeking a part-time Afterschool Program Site Coordinator to work with parents, staff and students in a safe, well-supervised program. You will implement curriculum, supervise activities in health, wellness, character development, and academic support, and mentor youth while coordinating volunteers under the Youth Program Coordinator.

A High School Diploma or GED is required; prior work with children/teens and strong communication skills are

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; some college preferred.
• Experience working or volunteering with children/teens in a professional setting, including youth program supervision and/or development.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to coordinate volunteers and staff.
• Good written and verbal communications skills.
• Collaborative, team-oriented work style; enthusiastic and organized.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and supervise students in afterschool program; maintain order and student conduct.
• Create and facilitate engaging activities in health, wellness, character development, academic improvement, college awareness and STEAM.
• Develop and coordinate a calendar of program activities and events.
• Lead and supervise youth; recognize issues and apply procedures.
• Provide a positive, respectful environment and be a positive role model for youth.
• Assist with daily snack/meals program including preparation, serving and record-keeping.
