Job summary

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Enrolled in or completed at least 2 semester hours of school-age coursework within 1 year of hire.
  • Previous experience with children or teens preferred but not required.
  • Ability to relate to diverse groups from all social/economic backgrounds.
  • Mini-bus certification or ability to obtain certification.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure safety and engagement of all children in assigned group.
  • Offer homework support and encourage academic progress.
  • Follow program lesson plans and consider children's needs.
  • Cultivate a nurturing environment and promote positive play.
  • Maintain open communication with supervisor for support/resources.
  • Keep accurate classroom records and comply with standards and privacy.
