Job summary

YMCA of Southeastern NC is seeking an Afterschool Counselor in Hampstead to inspire and engage school-aged children. The role focuses on creating fun, active experiences that support children's social, emotional, and physical growth. Candidates should be nurturing, collaborative, and dedicated to the community’s values.

The position is part-time, requiring availability Monday to Friday from 2 PM to 6 PM. Responsibilities include planning activities, supervising children, and maintaining communication with parents.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• CPR, First Aid and AED certification within 30 days of hire.
• Experience in a developmental setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement curriculum and design daily activity plans.
• Supervise children and maintain program site.
• Communicate with parents about children's behavior.
