Prospect Schools is seeking an Afterschool Program Manager to oversee and lead operations for their afterschool program. This role requires strong management skills, collaboration with various stakeholders, and a commitment to equity and inclusion in all program aspects.
Reporting to the Director of School Operations. The Afterschool Program Manager will lead the operations, programming, and oversight of our afterschool program. All BPCS community members are expected to strive for professional growth, explore new ways to improve quality and efficiency of services, and model the values of the organization in a way that impacts the student experience and working environment in a positive way.

Lead the daily operations of the afterschool program, including but not limited to managing and supporting after school activity specialists, scheduling and creating club rosters, purchasing, and tracking participant attendance and enrollment.
Work collaboratively with the Network Director and DSO to design a robust after school program that serves and engages BPCS students and aligns with the organization’s mission and priorities
Provide coverage as needed to after school Activity Specialists.
Oversee and collaborate with the Athletic Coordinator to develop and implement competitive sports programs.
Work with the Network Director to coordinate and facilitate quarterly program-wide staff development opportunities.
Collaborate with Network Director and Ed Specialist to develop and implement leadership programming.
Design & coordinate seasonal programming, i.e summer camps, spring & summer academies/credit recovery program for students in need of additional academic support
Collaborate with the Principal and School Operations to ensure a high rate of participation through utilizing school based marketing resources.
Identify essential program areas where the MS program office can support family engagement and the planning of specialized events.
Conduct bi-weekly meetings with key school-based stakeholders to coordinate and support the functions of the afterschool programs.
Serve as the primary contact for the afterschool program, foster strong relationships and effective communication resources for students, families, staff, and senior leadership.
Provide students with a safe SEL after school environment with the support of the school culture department.
Collaborate with the Director of School Operations to develop systems that manage safety & health protocols,emergency protocols, reserve space, manage school calendars, communications platforms, landing pages & all other ASP marketing platforms.
Create systems with the owners of student behavioral management & SPED that support students' needs and encourage positive behavior.
Create systems and processes that effectively streamline important information to senior leadership & management teams within SYC
Design after school program structures that actively work to dismantle white supremacy and mitigate the impacts that it has on our students and families (specifically, Black and indigenous people of color)
Collaborate with the School Operations team & school foods to provide snacks to enrolled students. Manage snack distributions data for compliance records.
Budget, Hiring & Compliance
Manages School ASP budget lines allocation (including some Principal/DSO input w/ NDED approval of all expenditures)
Plans, tracks and forecast monthly expenses to stay within budget
Works with NDED & Principal/DSO to ensure spending fits with schools' greatest needs
Working knowledge of budget--- is able to recommend budget use to NDED/Principal/DSO and give all stakeholders a clear picture of where we stand financially.
Manages processing of invoices and all ASP expenditures
Responsible for updating the ASP budget tool for quarterly audit
Hire, Onboard, manage, train and mentor all ASP program staff and external partnerships, including tracking and evaluating their work performance.
Manage hours of all ASP employees in ADP and provide monthly expense reports to the Network Director. Track hours, salary
School safety liaison (monthly check-in of upcoming events, any safety issues
Required skills:
Bachelor’s Degree required
2+ year experience management experience
2+ years experience working as a provider in a non-profit organization
Experience in management and sustaining high quality teams
Experience or knowledge DYCD grant funded programs and work with Youth Services
Experience in curriculum development and implementation
Excellent relationship management skills and the ability to work with various stakeholders (both internally and externally) at all organizational levels
High levels of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook
Strong work ethic and impeccable attention to detail
Experience in project management
Understanding of DOH & child care program compliance
Strongly preferred skills:
Proven experience in program management, youth development, or educational leadership.
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to equity, inclusion, and anti-racism in educational spaces.
Ability to work collaboratively with school and network leadership.

Salary: $62,000 - $85,822 annually
