Job summary

City of Durango is seeking a Head Daycare Leader to guide a small team in the Gametime afterschool program. You will support daily operations, create a welcoming environment for 25-30 children, and ensure safer, engaging activities.

Roles include supervising 3–5 Program Leaders, coordinating schedules, and partnering with families. Part-time/seasonal positions offer flexible hours between 7:30 a.m. and 6:15 p.m. Training and development are provided.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience with youth programs or camps.
• Experience coordinating staff and schedules.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Attend pre-season staff meetings and required training.
• Assist Program Supervisor with registration and paperwork.
• Maintain organized program files and records.
• Assist with hiring and separation of staff.
• Oversee Leader performance and ensure policy compliance.
• Develop and manage staff schedules and substitute coverage.
• Coordinate transportation from schools to program sites.
• Create and implement weekly activity schedules.
• Ensure site cleanliness and compliance with regulations.
• Serve as primary contact for families and represent the Gametime program professionally.
