Job summary

University of New Mexico is seeking an Afterschool Program Assistant for the Renaissance Academy in Albuquerque. This Off-Campus Work-Study role requires you to supervise students, plan engaging activities, and assist with homework for 4th–8th grade students.

Hours are 2:30 pm–5:30 pm, Monday–Friday, with possible additional tutoring hours during the day for eligible students. Must have a Work-Study award and be enrolled at UNM.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a degree-seeking program at UNM.
• Must be enrolled at least half-time (6 hours) for fall and spring semesters.
• If Work Study, must meet Satisfactory Academic Progress.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students and manage activities.
• Develop and implement diverse afterschool programs.
• Provide homework assistance to 4th–8th graders.
• Maintain a safe environment and build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
