Child Care Resources Inc. is seeking an energetic Afterschool Program Teacher to work with children aged 2-5. The role focuses on designing and leading engaging activities rather than merely supervising, fostering playful, hands-on learning in the afternoon.

The ideal candidate enjoys creating activities, communicates effectively with staff, and maintains a positive classroom environment while supporting snack time and transitions.

Qualifications

• Enjoys working with children ages 2-5.
• Creative and enthusiastic about developing new activities.
• Patient, dependable, energetic, and nurturing.
• Comfortable leading a group of young children.
• Able to work Monday through Friday from 1:30 PM-5:30 PM consistently.
• Preschool, childcare, teaching, camp, or afterschool experience is preferred.
• Students pursuing Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Development, Psychology, or a related field are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Help design and plan age-appropriate afterschool activities for children ages 2-5.
• Lead hands-on activities including arts and crafts, STEAM, sensory play, music and movement, imaginative play, games, and outdoor activities.
• Adapt activities for different ages, abilities, and interests.
• Create a warm, positive, and engaging classroom environment.
• Encourage creativity, independence, social skills, and cooperation.
• Supervise children and maintain a safe and organized environment.
• Assist with afternoon snack, classroom transitions, and end-of-day routines.
• Help prepare activity materials and keep classroom spaces clean and organized.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with other teachers and school leadership.
